Nothing happens here...

Black and white, not red all over

When I started researching for a book about West Coast Motors I discovered that some of the (Ayr) ex Western SMT black and white buses housed at Ardrishaig were inherited from MacBraynes in the 1970's. WCM went on to acquire the property in the village and I've built several models of buildings there.  It seemed appropriate to model a fleet of black and white buses.  In the picture the middle three vehicles were ex WSMT and I have photos of the one in the shed and the centre one of the group of three actually in the Ardrishaig yard in the 70's.  The bus on the far left is one which started life in England with a Yorkshire operator and probably never came to Argyll.  The far right coach is another 'invention'.

The 'shed' was built about 15 years ago out of odds and ends and will one day be replaced with a prototypical hand-built model.

The two extras are of the Ardrishaig depot in WSMT days.
