Red-shouldered Hawk Times 2
We went back to Riley Wilderness Park on Saturday in the late afternoon/early evening to try our luck at finding birds. We are finding it to be a challenge to find the birds in the dense foliage of the Oaks and Sycamores. Before sunset, when the park closes, the marine layer started to develop, so we were losing the light even faster. As we headed back to the parking lot, the hawks caught my eye. They sat there long enough for us to be able to take a few pictures. I'm assuming they are an adult with a juvenile.
