Hawk

A lie in and a stroll round the other half if the village! While looking at Mum’s greenhouse, the blackbirds started making a racket. A kestrel or perhaps sparrow hawk was about!

After watching for a while we realised it had already killed a female blackbird, presumably taken from the next in the hedge. Once we were in, the hawk flew down to eat it’s capture, all the time surrounded by 3-4 shrieking make blackbirds who kept diving on it! Fascinating to watch!!

This evening started out with The Wolf Of Wall Street but then changed into series 1 of The Crown. I might have to watch it all again...
