turning black...

...in the rose

yet there aren't any true "black" roses in nature - i was simply drawn to the playful aspect of creating my own - to see what it would look like - then became enamoured by it - deciding to post it... but of course, not without doing some delving into the whole realm of black roses - you didn't think i was just going to end it there, now did you?

-during the victorian era - fresh black roses spoke a mournful language of tragedy and grief
-they were used to symbolize death at funerals
-conveyed a message of distaste or disdain between rivals
- yes - vampires are fond of black roses
-the dramatic impact of black roses is best used in a good-natured over the hill jest such as at a 40th birthday joke or retirement party


so unbeknownst to me - lots of variety - intriguing information with black roses - keeping us on our toes - making for...
