Postie's electric buggy

These little vehicles have appeared in our streets in recent weeks, replacing the posties' motor bikes. The buggies can carry more parcels, and that reflects changes in our mailing habits: we are receiving fewer letters and more parcels. That's partly because we are doing more online shopping, especially since Covid-19.

Note the 'L' plate - maybe a sign that Australia Post is struggling to keep up with the changes!
