king for a day

This year Father's Day fell the day after hubby's birthday, so we rolled the two celebrations into one.  Here he is having his favorite take out meal for Father's Day, prime rib and baked sweet potato, brought to us by our younger daughter who lives here in town. She also came bearing gifts. And dessert featured his favorite birthday cake, a homemade strawberry cake with buttercream icing (see extras).
Our oldest daughter and her hubby, who live in Minnesota, are driving here with their five boys next weekend, so the celebration will happen all over again!
