Statue

I've had a day of chores, pickling beetroot, stewing rhubarb and apple plus a mountain of washing and ironing after last weekends washout (I don't have a working dryer). My youngest went to the Black Lives Matter event in Hyde Park. The police were guarding the statues - this one included.

The event was mostly talks apparently. We are lucky here that we have some amazing black individuals in Leeds, and he had the chance to hear the guy who started the Leeds Carnival amongst others. They all wore masks, kept two metres apart and had to bring hand sanitizer to keep themselves and everyone else safe.

Leeds us reviewing statues. Apparently there is one in Hyde Park of a slaver - which I hadn't known. It should come down in my view.
