Our version of ‘Open gardens’
Lockdown has curtailed many things, including our normal summer ‘Open gardens’, which is normally a fundraiser for our bulb planting committee. After a couple of false starts due to wet weekends we managed to do it today. Of course we can’t go traipsing round gardens but we could all put up scarecrows for people to look at.
Here are just 4 of the 80+ scarecrows dotted around the village! I went for humour and ingenuity with narrowing down the field. The beekeepers are opposite us on the road we live in, loved the Dominic Cummings skit and the toilet roll rummaging was funny too. The fourth is our meagre attempt (we are known in the village as the photographers)
