Solstice Simmer Dim

This was taken dead on midnight, looking out from the porridge hill over Ross-shire, Sutherland and Caithness. Late in the evening the sky cleared, just in time.

Simmer Dim is the afterglow of sunset late on summer evenings. I recall once driving north from Inverness one June night at 3am. At road level it was dark. Above the sky was daytime blue.

Interesting to note how many of us were out doing the same thing last night, but no surprise really.
