Red Admiral butterfly
Today my next door neighbour presented me with a tiny froglet that she'd found in the garden. It was about a centimetre long and so perfectly formed - a little miracle of nature. I put it on a mossy stone by the pond and next to the wild undergrowth area of my garden so hope that it will move in.
F and I went for a walk along the canal but it was very busy with people making the most of a sunny day after all the rain. It reminded me why I normally go in the week! This red admiral was one of the many butterflies around (lots of dragonflies and damslflies too).
