Rangihaeata Ramble

What a gorgeous day and sort of Father's Day (but not in NZ) and the Solstice. Himself got some posh chocolates and tea hand-plucked by nymphs in the light of the moon :mint and nettle, meant to cure everything. We pottered around the Grove in the morning then went out for a walk with Joe in the afternoon to Rangihaeata, just out of Takaka. He hadn't been before and it was amazing! A walk you have to do when the tide is out  and we'd actually managed to time it right. We were amazed how different it was from other beach walks - really wild and remote with big cliffs, oddly formed rocks, native bush, huge and weirdly shaped driftwood, loads of shells, mimosa trees, a smattering of baches and these strange shapes emerging from the sand - the roots of trees from a long lost forest apparently.
We ended off the afternoon with ice creams in Pohara. Not bad at all.

Happy father's day to all daddies where it is. That's a rather bad sentence.

And thank you so much for all the love for yesterday's cosmic sunset, much appreciated.

The extra shows the inner goddess being released! Fitting for the Solstice!
