An Afternoon at the Lake

Lockdown Day 90

We’ve had an afternoon at the lake with Alison and Tony. It’s Tony’s birthday today, and a few weeks ago I mentioned to Alison about this lake where we’d gone with Anne and Simon. Alison got in touch with the farmer to see if they could rent his little cabin, but they couldn’t, however said they could camp, so they went yesterday and are there until tomorrow. Tony likes fishing and they gave him permission to fish, so it was perfect for him.

We arrived at 2pm and had a picnic lunch with Prosecco and then Alison and I went for sail on the lake in her kayak which was really relaxing! We all had a walk around the lake and then just sat chatting, I don’t know where the time went and was surprised when I looked at my watch and it was 6pm!

It’s been another lovely socially distanced day with friends. Hope you’ve had a good one too!

While we were out I received a message from the people that own the psychedelic Rolls Royce that I blipped some time ago. Sadly, due to Covid they’re having to sell the car, and asked if I would take some photos for them to help sell it. It’s such a shame, she said they bought the car from her uncle and had it wrapped in January with the hope of starting a business with it, but said they can’t afford to wait a year to be able to do it.
