Oily Rag
With the gradual relaxing of the lock-down conditions Oily Rag opened up today for the first time since restrictions were imposed. I popped down early, just after opening at 10.00, and there was only 5 or 6 people there. Had a coffee and a chat with a couple of blokes and went home. Went later, in the car this time, after dropping F.M.i.L. off at church for a praying session (no Masses yet) and it was much busier so took a couple of photos.
It's a cafe, their excellent coffee is much better than Costa or Starbucks, and a motorbike clothing store. It's small with a unit on a business park that opened around 5 years ago.
It's not cheap though but it's a place where lots of bikers gather to sit around, talk bikes and rideouts, what's going on in the bike world and just generally be friends. I suspect Oily Rag makes more money from the sale of coffee than clothing but last year I did buy a really nice pair of gloves for riding in the summer. Great quality, and the linings don't pull out when you take them off. They also look pretty nice but they did cost a little short of £60.00 - See Extra.
