Socially Distanced Hobblers and Cakes

It has been so lovely this afternoon to catch up with several Hobblers for an hour or so in Sally's garden.  Sally and her girls have been baking boxes of cakes to raise money for Chester Zoo which has been yet another place struggling during the lockdown.  Today was cake collection day so Hobblers agreed to arrive around the same time, bringing our cuppas.  We are missing our runs two or three times a week, always good occasions for catch ups, consolations, stress busting and laughter.

Lots of stories later and we were heading home with our boxes of goodies:  cherry bakewells; biscuits; carrot cakes; chocolate cones; flapjacks and butterfly buns.  Back home, Tony chose the latter and I had the cherry bakewell, sitting out in the sunshine.  Perfect.  Thank you Sally and Kirsty and Abby (and to Ian who acted as Jonnie Craddock during baking time!)
