Baby newt

We dug our pond to provide habitat for wildlife in the back garden about 4 years ago. It's really working out, we have hundreds of tadpoles this year but the newts are the ones that always give me a kick - it's really a sign of a functioning ecosystem.
Our 7 year old didn't even try to catch it, just scooped up a bucket of water to see what was there and there it was..
