Landing...

Further Monarch butterflies were released today - as you can see, the sun was shining and the temperature was warm for a winter’s day.

This one fluttered around the garden before taking a pause, landing on this decaying tree trunk.

I’m not sure what the internet connection will be like over the next few days while we are travelling south to the Fox Glacier. Hopefully I’ll still be able to upload a daily photo, otherwise they will be back-blipped on my return home. Comments and visits to your journals will also be limited this evening.



Covid-19 in NZ
Two new cases today.
Both cases are people in their 20’s and have been repatriated passengers returning from India.
All flyers arriving in this country face a mandatory two-week quarantine.
