Squash and blue cheese tart with figs and pecans

Oh my goodness, our supper this evening was delicious! Mr hazelh used a recipe from the Green roasting tin book for these amazing puff pastry tarts.

It's been a very busy and long day of work. The meeting count was six, four by video conference, and two by phone. In the gaps between meetings I mined email. I finished my working day just after 8pm by sending comments to a colleague that I had promised to supply 'by the end of the week'.

We have a busy weekend ahead with the excitement of meeting Mr hazelh's newly-discovered Edinburgh-based third cousin (who happens to live within walking distance of us) tomorrow. We're also borrowing a garden shredder so expect to spend quite a lot of time reducing the huge pile of discarded vegetation currently occupying the corner of the garden where we plan to put up a new shed.

Exercise today: one hour on the exercise bike.
