With Diamonds

Towards evening I looked towards our crab apple tree and saw it glowing with tiny sparkles. The low sun was shining thru the small christmas lites on the tree with each bulb sparkling into the faintest of rainbows. The digital camera didn't capture the total effect but did give the diamond-like diffraction stars. If I blow them up on the computer screen each point is a faint rainbow color. Probably the lens lateral chromatic aberration or a CCD artifact but I want to think I have captured the rainbow.
