almost there

I have been photographing these spotted flycatcher chicks since they hatched out, visiting them once a day so that they aren't too bothered by me or my camera.

There are four in the nest, which is at eye level in a hole in the wall of our garden. 

Incredibly to think that if they survive the summer, they will fly all the way to Africa.
