A wannabe guest for supper

I was preparing our supper this evening when this lady pileated woodpecker landed on the hopper feeder in the backyard buffet. She didn't hang around for supper, but she posed long enough for me to take a few pictures. Eventually she flew to the tallest tree in the back yard, and from there took off for a distant tree. I was smiling as I finished getting supper on the table because my blip, the only picture I took today, had landed right outside the window. How easy that was!
