Club assignment to North Shields and Tynemouth
It was a grey, windy day with heavy grey clouds when we arrived at North Shields this morning for our Photo Club assignment. North Shields looked bleak. There was little activity on the boats and a lot of litter blowing around. The peeling paint and deterioration of the buildings was very unlike that seen in Venice.
I found a fascinating shop which was well worth a visit, although I forgot to return later to buy bacon and black pudding.
After lunch I was in Tynemouth and the surfers took to the waters and I enjoyed photographing them. It was very windy so quite a challenge. I chose this image over this one.
