A DOUBLE BAR....

.... Finch that is!!

Went over to the Lowlands Lookout and decided to grab a Pano over the Lowlands to the Blue Mountains.

And to my surprise there were quite a few Double-barred Finch having a right ole time in the grass feeding up big time. Surprise, as although they are one of our "common" Finch variety have rarely spotted them. They are really small (10 to 11cm) and good at hiding in the grass.

Also a couple of Pied Currawong grabbing some tucker along the way.
