Cannons on Broad Street in Stirling

These cannons were made for Stirling Castle but were surplus to requirements and along with another 10 were offered to Stirling Council in 1904. The council thought they were a gift but in fact the war office wanted paid for them. The council declined 12 but took 4, 2 of which are here and the other 2 are on nearby Gowan Hill
