Wild orchid
Driving down the lane to T's for another fish'n chip supper (!) I noticed these Pyramid Orchids growing in the wide verge under the oak trees. The tallest one was eight or nine inches tall. Of course I couldn't blip them then as a car was behind me so I stopped on my way home thus the flash light.
A very little rain this afternoon fell out of a very black sky and the thunder rolled around us but nothing else. It was the first time little I had heard the rumbling and we had to explain where it was coming from and not to be frightened.
T took three old suckler cows to the abbattoir. We just don't have the room to keep them on as pets - it is always a sad time on the farm.
