Me time

Opted out of doing anything productive and useful. Wandered into the village, acquired cake and iced coffee and sat in the sensory garden pretending that the rest of the world wasn't there. It was glorious. Spoke to some road workers about the insanity of the hot weather and laying tarmac and irritated a bird. Feel lucky to have enough free time to opt completely out of a day, and unlike in times gone passed I didn't even feel guilty that I didn't 'achieve' anything.
