Fear of compromise

When you are trying to leave yourself free to follow, without compromise, the tumbling riotous path that fate might take, you preserve your single step so that you will not deviate from your course, you will not compromise your dream.

Perhaps the compromise might be not to take the deviation that another, brought by fate, might create from the path that you thought was yours?
