A Little Ray of Sunshine

On a very dull day.

Narcissus romieuxii, a dwarf species daffodil originating in the Atlas mountains in Morocco. Easily grown and equally easily raised from seed, it is hardy here but does best under cold glass. In the open garden the ravages of the winter weather spoil the flowers while slugs and snails soon finish off what is left!

The plant is around 4 inches high, the flower perhaps an inch across.
