Selfish behaviour

Some very loud fireworks have just been set off in the village, finished about 3 minutes before 11pm. We now have a very distressed dog, who has managed to move from this hiding place , somewhere he has never sat before, to being wedged between the sofa and the wall.

I can not begin to imagine the distress being caused to the local deer, badgers, foxes and the like all of who will currently be nursing young.
