Birthday Broon

Cake overload. We had to give him an IOU for a pressie so Nelly painted a stone, Betty baked him a roulade (what a swirl it had!) and I made a Biscoff cheesecake. Broon misheard and thought I’d made a Bisto cheesecake. It was nice to visit, sit in the garden and eat too much cake. And listen to Dhruv bossing the kids about.
First time the girls have really been anywhere since lockdown started. I was lugging in to them in the car on the way home- Nelly asked Betty about what she missed as we drove past her school. Betty’s response? “Seeing my friends. I mean I love you but it’s been three long months and I’m drained. “
