Fresh...

The whole of today was spent surveying an Oxfordshire floodplain meadow. We set off around seven in the morning and returned home at half past eight, with virtually no significant breaks. Luckily Sarah, Ben and Alex had a delicious meal waiting for us!

The work was quite intense so there wasn't a lot of time to appreciate the flora and fauna of the site, but as we were leaving in the evening it was good to see lots of Six-spot Burnets and newly emerged Small Tortoiseshells feeding on the Knapweed, as well as a local churchyard full of Ox-eye Daisies.
