Progress appears to have slowed dramatically in the playroom revamp but actually MrRoly has been slogging his guts out!

He has now got new boards, a saw to trim the existing boards, 2mm ply to match the depth of the new boards to the old boards, damp proof course and joists to fill in the gaps.

The hole is much deeper and this offending bit of granite infill has been removed to start the hoist and board laying.

Then we can sand the floor, varnish the floor, fill the gaps in the skirting, fill the holes in the walls and finally paint the room.
