Compact Camera Macro

I have always particularly liked the quality of the images I get from my compact camera, a Sony RX100 IV but it does not have a particularly good macro facility and you have to shoot from several inches away. My wife bought me a macro adapter for my birthday but I have not used it very frequently. However, on my walk this morning I saw bees buzzing around a clump of Viper's Buglos so I popped the adapter on to see how close I could shoot with it. Fortunately I chose a particularly sleepy individual and was there able to get quite close to it, maybe a couple of inches away and I am reasonably pleased with the result as the bee seems sharp throughout.
