On, then off, then on again.

My Mahjong group has been Zooming on a Tuesday evening for many weeks now. Then lockdown rules relaxed slightly and we decided a cup of tea in one of our gardens would be very welcome. We were all geared up to do it last week but it was rained off, so we were determined to go ahead this week. It was to be in my garden. The forecast was good, but changed during the morning. One member phoned me during a rain storm saying she thought it should be cancelled, so the phone calls were made. No sooner than this was done than the sun came out and it was a lovely day again. I phoned everyone again and said they would be welcome if they wanted to risk it. In the end five of us gathered at a suitable distance and enjoyed being together. Every now and then there would be a few huge drops of rain and umbrellas went up but we didn’t care, we were happily together.
I didn’t think to take a photograph until after they had gone!
