Woodlouse
This is - I presume - a woodlouse. But not the very small type that we find when we turn over rocks or old bits of rotting wood. This one was about 3/4 of an inch long! The head end is the bigger of the two ends. Or at least, that was the end that was in the lead when it scooted along trying to hide from me. I don't know that I've ever seen such a thing before. I'm more used to the tiny "roly poly" ones.
