Caen Hill (Monday June 15th 2020)

My permitted exercise took place at Caen Hill today - in fact I had two bursts of exercise, one heading towards Foxhangers, where I took this and saw yellow flags and butterflies, until I reached Dulce Domum, where I took some pictures, and back, and one later from the Caen Hill Café, where I saw a pen swan in the stretch above the Moorings. As I had seen none on previous visits this year I was pleased to find one, but there was no sign of a nest let alone cygnets, so it seems possible that there is no cob swan around this year.
The Mono Monday (optional) theme this week is 'Hectic'. Everything is relative and this is the most hectic scene that I encountered. Maybe that is why the host of the challenge didn't star or even comment on the entry.

Everly Brothers - On The Wings Of A Nightingale (1984)
On the Wings of a Nightingale was written by Paul McCartney for the Everly Brothers at the request of the producer Dave Edmunds and recorded for their album EB 84, which he produced. The song is the most popular of the duo’s songs recorded since 1970 and the final Everly Brothers single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. I discovered the tune today from my latest magazine readings (Mojo, August 2011).
McCartney’s own version still exists as an umpteenth generation poor copy bootleg of a demo recording; if the source tape exists it remains unfortunately unreleased as of 2020.
