Rescued!

I found this peony stem lying flat, broken from the plant, after the recent days of wind and rain. It was limp and bedraggled, but I couldn't bear to throw it on the compost heap.

I made it a support, rather like a crutch, from a woody piece of the old dead ivy and put it in water.

So happy to discover it revived and beautiful by the end of the day.
