Day 84 Yet more roses
Yet another warm day, not as sunny as yesterday, but it came good for early evening drinks when the sky was briefly almost cloudless. My blip today is one of the older roses in our garden, already established when we moved here 22 years ago. This year it does seem to be more flame coloured than in previous years and has lost its pinkish tones. In fact several of our roses seem to have subtly altered their colours. Has anyone experienced the same?
Day 84 means that we have now completed the 12th week of lockdown, although of course some 'regulations' have been eased. Tomorrow in the UK, 'non essential' shops can open. I for one, will not be heading for them, preferring to shop online rather than join the inevitable queues to get in, due to social distancing. Currently the UK is going with 2m social distancing, but now the government has been urged to review this as many businesses have said that they will collapse unless it is reduced to 1m, which is WHO's recommendation.
Just seen that my post of a year ago was Roses yet again!
