Pinch, Punch
I made it another month without missing a day!
And this month is MY BIRTHDAY MONTH
This afternoon I took a walk in Roath Park with a friend I haven't seen in well over a year, and even then it was only an accidental meeting.
We became friends during my first year of uni and became good friends.
He was my happy escape when the pressures of Halls living became overwhelming. He would pick me up in his car and let me just hang out in peace without any worries. This was also during a time when I was suffering from a mystery, crippling illness which left me pretty much unable to walk without being in pain. Thankfully this pain has pretty much disappeared now, with only the occasional twinge to remind me of its lurking presence.
ANYWAY, we sat on a bench chatting about everything. We don't have a list of things in common, or anything else but it is always lovely to have someone you can just chat to comfortably and know it won't really matter if you don't see each other again for a long time.
This evening Thomas suggested we order Chinese food from a restaurant I have been wanting to try for ages. This is because they do REAL Chinese food!! There was no question in my mind, I was ordering the dish which I ate most days during my time in China because it was so lovely and so incredibly comforting.
I watched tv in bed and felt incredibly cosy and happy.
