A Mid-June Backpack into Sproul State Forest

My husband and I seized the opportunity to go backpacking when a few cooler summer days came along. So we set out around noon for a site we know in Sproul, that we call Pine Glen.

Above you may see our little campsite. That's his tent on the left and mine on the right. We set up our chairs and listened to music and enjoyed the green ferns. As dusk fell, a pair of wood thrushes exchanged sweet-sounding greetings among the trees.
