The Holy Well of St.John the Baptist

In celebration of (Inter)National Holy Well Day and at freespiral’s excellent suggestion https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2718716082109024446 (has anyone checked she isn’t pulling our legs?!) ... here is my votive offering. I’ve been before a few times but it was beautiful today and I’ve made a collage so you can see the church and the magnificent view from the well (towards Skiddaw). It was very peaceful, unlike the rest of the lakes that I saw. I was going to head on to Thirlmere but I’ve never seen so many cars parked there so I turned tail and got on with jobs in the garden and my friend called for a late swim (extra).
