Green Fields and Trees

My other half took the day off, so we made the most of the time and went walking.

We started at Ilam in The Peak District and walked along the River Manifold away from Ilam Hall and grounds. We walked over the river and up out of the valley to get views over the whole area.

This image looks back towards Dovedale. The flat peak of Thorpe Cloud can be seen in the distance.

Our route back took us along the River Dove.

The weather although warm, was more like Autumn than Summer. Quite grey at times but at least no rain.
