The Warmest Day
We knew today was going to be really warm so we took a pre-breakfast walk, hoping it would be still be cool. It wasn't!
Breakfast was eaten and then we went to church in Waterloo, London, via modern technology.
After that it was out into the sun! Jan cut the grass and I carried on preparing this raised bed. It was heavy work and I downed about three litres of water in as many hours. I've nearly got it finished and would have completed the job but we had another online meeting so I had to stop. Once I stopped I realised I had no energy reserves at all left. It was a slightly weird feeling but since I can get a bit obsessive when I'm working like this I'm not entirely unfamiliar with the slightly shaky high you get from pushing just a bit too hard.
We read today that this glorious weather we are having is thanks to a high pressure over Norway and Sweden. Great for us but it's funnelling cold and rainy weather over Europe to the south of Scandinavia. So my apologies for being so happy with the warm weather, if your weather is unseasonally chilly.
Tomorrow it's going to be even warmer than today, but then slightly cooler and cloudier weather is heading our way. It will almost be a relief!
