Tortoiseshell

Not the best photo of this tortoiseshell butterfly, but I was very happy to see it this afternoon...it seems a long time since I last saw one.  A beautiful afternoon, apart from one short shower...G came around and we had a long catchup sat in the garden, still at a distance, it did me so much good to have a proper face to face conversation.  I have been invited to join her family 'bubble' for which I feel very privileged. I will begin to rejoin the human race again at a gentle pace......
Enjoyed the play last night, Mark Gatiss was excellent as King George...
