Sky high

Rose Golden Showers tops the shed roof and most of its flowers are up there, out of reach. It was the first rose to come out this spring, and has been continuously in flower since then. It was a substantial plant when we moved in here more than fifty years ago and has a thick woody trunk.
We’ve had a busy Sunday with Normous working hard outside on various projects. The more he does, the more enthusiasm he seems to have, he hasn’t worked like this for years! I am wondering whether it is all the Vitamin D he is absorbing from the sunshine!
While he was outside I was catching up with the ironing and cooking the Sunday lunch. I do wish something interesting would happen!
