Another visit to the beach

This morning we were up early to go again to the beach at West Wittering. This time Luke and Meriel joined us which was lovely. It was very windy and cooler than last Sunday, but we had a pleasant walk along the beach with Xena digging holes and having fun. Later we were joined by our friends who live nearby in Chichester, and we did another walking loop around the head with them. It was also so good to see them again as although we have had zoom calls we have not seen them for some time. After our walk we had a coffee from the beach cafe which we drank sitting outside on the bench, and it was actually a very good coffee.

When we got home lunch was ready (as I had made a chilli yesterday) so we could eat and then Gavin went of to his golf game. I don't expect he will have a good round as we have had disturbing news this morning about his mother being very ill. Gavin phoned her yesterday and she was unable to speak to him, and today the doctor has gone around to the care home to check on her. So far I have heard she is severely dehydrated from not being able to eat so she needs a drip so we are hoping they can put a drip up in the care home and that she does not have to go to hospital.
