This is what is left after the dragonfly has hatched from it's nymph stage.
Yesterday was  a very hot day here and a perfect time for the nymph to come out of the water. We have found five of these still stuck to the leaves on our pond plants. There is one more shot in the extra. Watching nature is wonderful even if you see ugly things...
