Swan family love

Took a walk around Derwenthorpe Ponds to see how our little swan family are doing. Pleased to see there are still three cignets and were being fed by the lady in the picture. It seems that a rota has been set up by a few locals to keep the swans fed which will, hopefully, prevent them wandering off down local roads. Evidently the male is quite friendly and will almost take food from your hand; his mate on the other hand is stroppy, but then she is a mother taking care of her babies!
