Thunder and lightning

Thunder and lightning ... very, very frightning... 
and then a hole in the cloud.. what fell through? What went up? Who knows.. all l know is that the hole went up and up through layers and layers of cloud... weird!
Until the storm it had been a lovely day.. spent mostly pottering in the garden and doing the jumbo crossword while sitting in the garden.  It is what Saturdays should be like.
