Finished The Anarchy by William Dalrymple. Excellent book, very relevant to these days when we are taking a good long look at our imperial history. Have now gone back to The Three Daughters of Eve by Elif Shafak. 

Right wing thugs went to ‘defend’ Churchill’s statue today and ended up getting pissed, attacking police, pissing on a policeman’s memorial, and giving Nazi salutes. I’m sure Churchill would not have been impressed. I certainly wasn’t.
