Chasing ice cream

I keep hearing an ice cream van in our neighbourhood. It reminded me of my childhood when my brother and I would stay with our great aunt and go chasing around the streets to find the van on hearing the music. Happy memories. It made me crave soft scoop ice cream.

Today just before lunch I heard the music again and set off to find the van, running around to try and track it down. I didn’t succeed but as I was searching it drove past my son who tried to flag it down to no avail. Turns out they are only doing pre- orders and it was fully booked for today. After w bit of googling we found a static location where a van was not far away so after lunch we set off for a family ice cream trip! Everyone enjoyed it.

When we got back it was haircut time again for my son. I still find it very stressful but he seemed happy enough. Nice to see the sunshine again today.
